On 19 December 2024, Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK) has issued OJK Regulation Number 30 of 2024 on Financial Conglomerates and Financial Holding Companies, streamlining the regulation and supervision of financial service institutions with ownership and/or control relationships across various financial service sectors. This regulation introduces new thresholds for Financial Conglomerates and mandates the establishment of Financial Holding Companies for those meeting the criteria, replacing OJK Reg. 45/2020 and expanding the regulatory framework in line with Law Number 4 of 2023.
