What’s New in Indonesian Trademark Registration: Highlights of MoL Regulation Number 5 of 2026

To enhance the efficiency of Indonesia’s intellectual property administration system and support ease of doing business, Minister of Law has issued Minister of Law Regulation Number 5 of 2026 on Trademark Registration. This regulation replaces Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation Number 67 of 2016 as amended by Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation Number 12 of 2021 and introduces key changes to the administrative procedures for trademark registration in Indonesia, including streamlined timelines and updated documentation requirements.
