The government, as the personal data controller, holds significant responsibility and is obligated to ensure that the processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the principles and procedures established in the relevant laws and regulations on personal data protection. To support data processing activities, government has established the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) infrastructure, including data centers that store public data to ensure that citizens' data is properly maintained. However, in practice, personal data protection failures may sometimes occur.
