Strengthening Legal Protection for Intellectual Property Rights in Digital Era

Under Minister of Law Regulation ("MoL") Number 47 on 2025 of Handling Reports of Intellectual Property Infringement in Electronic Systems, Intellectual Property ("IP") protection in the digital realm covers a wide spectrum, including copyright, trademarks, and communal property, where enforcement is triggered by reporting unauthorized production or distribution within Electronic System. By requiring clear identification of the infringing portal, registered holders or licensees may submit infringement reports containing the reporter's identity and the specific infringing portal to the MoL. Consequently, this legal framework serves as a critical tool for maintaining the integrity of IP rights within various Electronic System.
